1,000 pots outside UK PM’s office to protest Palestinians ‘deliberately starved by Israel’
The protest, organized in part by the Palestine Solidarity Campaign (PSC), featured participants banging pots and pans to highlight what they described as a deliberate famine caused by Israel, an ally of the UK government. Protesters waved Palestinian flags, held signs, and criticized both Israel and the British government for the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza.
According to Gaza’s Health Ministry, nine more Palestinians died within 24 hours due to famine and malnutrition, bringing starvation-related deaths to 122, including 83 children.
Protesters demanded immediate government action to pressure Israel to end the blockade and stop starving Palestinians. One demonstrator, Clive, told Anadolu Agency that the ongoing indiscriminate starvation in Gaza shows no sign of ending. He also noted that humanitarian critics often face accusations of antisemitism.
Citing reports from the International Criminal Court and other international organizations, Clive expressed frustration that no effective action has been taken to halt the violence and suffering. He condemned the continued killing of innocent civilians, emphasizing that the situation remains tragic and unresolved.
