Gaza Genocide: Israeli Atrocities Kill Over 60,000 Palestinians
(MENAFN) Since October 2023, the Gaza Strip has witnessed a devastating toll with at least 60,034 Palestinians killed, according to the Health Ministry's report on Tuesday.
The ministry detailed that in the past 24 hours alone, hospitals received 113 bodies, while 637 individuals sustained injuries, pushing the total injured count to 145,870 amid the ongoing Israeli offensive.
“Many victims are still trapped under the rubble and on the roads as rescuers are unable to reach them,” the statement warned, underscoring the dire rescue conditions.
Additionally, the ministry highlighted that 22 Palestinians lost their lives and over 199 were wounded while attempting to access humanitarian aid in the last day. This raises the overall fatalities in aid-related incidents to 1,179, with more than 7,957 injured since May 27.
The Israeli military reignited attacks on Gaza on March 18, resulting in 8,867 deaths and 33,829 injuries, effectively breaking a ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement established in January.
On Monday, Israeli human rights organizations B’Tselem and Physicians for Human Rights-Israel charged Israel with committing genocide in Gaza, pointing to the systematic destruction of Palestinian society and the intentional crippling of the territory’s healthcare infrastructure.
In November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant over allegations of war crimes and crimes against humanity committed in Gaza.
Furthermore, Israel is currently facing a genocide lawsuit at the International Court of Justice related to its military campaign on the enclave.
